Pete Steen's career took a turn toward technology when he transitioned from management consulting to Michigan Software Labs. Having worked with Fortune 50 and 100 companies, Pete developed a knack for navigating complex challenges, which he now applies to helping clients solve problems through technology.

His background in secondary education from Calvin University and business from Hope College provided him with strong problem-solving skills and business acumen. His experience with Agile methodologies and a SaaS startup—paired with his constant curiosity—has prepared him well for the digital product industry.

In his role as a Principal at MichiganLabs, Pete thrives on the variety and depth of his work. He enjoys the opportunity to deeply engage with clients, understand their unique needs, and craft tailored solutions. Pete appreciates the company’s culture of growth and genuine care for its employees, adding “I get to collaborate with and learn from incredibly talented people every day.”

Outside of work, Pete loves golfing, cooking, and exploring new audiobooks and podcasts. Much of his time is spent with his wife and three sons—often combining his love for good food with family adventures.
