3 Well Designed Apps for iOS 7
December 22, 2013Apple released iOS 7 in September of 2013 as a way to better organize and optimize information. According to Apple…
Nothing we’ve ever created has been designed just to look beautiful. That’s approaching the opportunity from the wrong end. Instead, as we reconsidered iOS, our purpose was to create an experience that was simpler, more useful, and more enjoyable — while building on the things people love about iOS. Ultimately, redesigning the way it works led us to redesign the way it looks. Because good design is design that’s in service of the experience.
At MichiganLabs, we’ve decided to take a look at three apps that have recently been updated for iOS 7 and may provide you with added value. Browse through the tabs below to check them out for yourself. Enjoy!
Calendars 5 by Readdle is one of our favorite alternate apps for your calendar because it supports speech. That’s right, just tell it what you want to add to your calendar and it can do all the heavy lifting for you. It can also group reminders into one app as an all in one solution. This app was designed with iOS 7 in mind. If you’re looking for an alternative calendar app, you may want to check out Calendars 5.
Evernote is one of the most popular note taking apps and is supported by tons of apps and developers across the world. The newest update is a complete rework with not only iOS 7 support but a great new interface that makes searching and accessing your notes even easier than ever.
While you may first think the creators of Reeder didn’t know how to spell, they absolutely met a need for users. When Google Reader stopped being offered, the original Reeder app did little but update to add support for Feedly. With a completely new icon, interface, fonts – it’s a gorgeous update that nails what apps running on iOS 7 should look like. If you need an app to access RSS feeds from, Reeder would be worth checking out.
